To Parents of Transgender Youth

Many children are looking for a sort of comradery from their parents, and it always helps to find that within someone else as well.  The way you react to them saying is going to be crucial, and without a doubt you shouldn't set yourself on either side of the fence before finding more information about the subject.

I can't tell you what part of life they've decided to tell you, but I can say that any parent should love the heck out of their children no matter if they disagree with their children. This point is also directed towards those who have LGBT parents or relatives as well.

If you have any questions I'd suggest directing them here the link directs you to the PFLAG (parents, family, and friends of Lesbians and Gays) website. Even though it says lesbians and gay they also deal with transgender youth also. You can find a "chapter" close to your area in just about every state in the US but I'm not sure if they range beyond our boarders.

For youth i would suggest going to Trevorspace which is a brilliant place to chat with others around a pretty close age of 14-19, but don't be afraid to go there and try to connect with other LGBT folks.
